Gangolihat is situated at a distance of about 75 Kms. from the heart of Pithoragarh city. It is a small hamlet ,with a population of approxmaitely ten to fiften thousands,with a great importance among piligrims.An ancient Kali temple is situated here and every year a colourful fair is held during Navratris.
Kailash Mansarovar Route
Every year (KMVN)Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam organises the "Kailash Mansarovar Yatra" .It is one of the most dangerious but revered and famous "Yatra" .The road journey ends at Tawaghat near city Dharchula. Trekkking starts from Darchula which goes through the valley of Kali ,Narayanswamy Ashram, Sirkha, Budi, Gunji, Navedhang and Kalapani (all in Pithoragrah district)
Patal Bhuvneshwar
This mysterions place a highly revered among the devotees .This tample is like a narrow shaped tunnel and has several small caves. These small caves have stone carving of many dities on their walls which are really myesterions and facinating.The cave temple of Patal Bhubaneshwar is traditionally believed to be the abode of thirty three crore deities.
Jaul Jibi
Famous for it's fair Jaul Jibi is situated at a distance of 68 Kms from Pithoragarh. Every year a grand fair is held at the confluence of the rivers Gori and Kali. The fair is held in the month of Novemberby the local people and people from neighbouring county Nepal .A great collection of woolen showles ,jackets ,sweter,jeans,leather goods is sold at a very good price.
Milam Glacier
This majestic glacier lies at a distance of 208 Kms. from the heart of Pithoragrah.Treakking starts from From Munsiyari to milam glacier and the route leanth is 54 Kms.It's the most favourate place among the trekkers and mountaineers and attracts several foreigners and trekkers from all around the world
