District Udham Singh Nagar is carved out from Nainital District in the year 1995.The district is divided in three main sun division Kashipur ,Rudrapur and Khatima.
The district was named after Late Udham Singh to commemorate this great freedom fighter who killed General Dyre for his sinful act at Jaliyanwala Bagh .
Nanak Matta
Nanak Matta is situated at a distance of 56 Kms. from the city of Rudrapur on the way to Tanakpur .
Being a scred place to the Sikh community this place is visited by thousands of Sikh piligrims every year.Nanak Matta has a great importance in the Sikh religion. It is said that the great Saint Guru Nanak visited this place.

This fair is held at the Ataria tample which is just 2 Kms from the city Rudrapur on the way to Haldwani .The fair is held in the month of March and April at Navratris.
